Frequently asked questions
What’s your experience?
I have been styling men, women, and children for over 17 years. I’ve been a wardrobe resource for brides, marketing campaigns, bands, commercials, movies, television series, galas, vacations, reunions, business meetings, weekends, first dates, and a trip to the coffee shop. I’m up for any challenge!
Why do I need a stylist?
I believe everyone needs 2 people in their lives, a therapist and a stylist.
The truth is that we all need a second pair of eyes at some point. We all get stuck in monotonous routines especially when it comes to our wardrobe. We can have a good eye, be trendy, have a sense of style and still feel paralyzed when we open our closet doors. We can grow frustrated with our bodies and think it’s helpful to punish ourselves by ignoring it’s true size or shape by either buying based on where we want to be rather than where we are OR holding off on what we want until the day we reach our goal. If you ask me, we judge our bodies far too harshly rather than thanking them for all they’ve done for us. Sometimes we just need a nudge in the right direction and a little bit of knowledge about what’s best for us in order to accentuate the positives and come to love our perceived negatives. Whether you’ve worked with a stylist before or this is your first time, it’s important to know you don’t have to be a celebrity or have a huge budget to have a stylist. I’d love the opportunity to share my skills, opinions, and wisdom with you.
What’s the WARDROBE EDIT process like?
I love seeing something through from beginning to end and I think you’ll find my process does just that. Everything begins with a questionnaire that gives me the information I need to learn about your body shape, lifestyle, and what characteristics you want to portray about yourself. Then, I get into your closet with you and we work together to find more looks than you probably think you have. Meanwhile, I’ll assist you to weed out the items that have run their course, see first hand what you love most, and record the gaps you have to fill. Afterwards, if you desire, we can move forward with finding the best options for you to purchase and then schedule another meet-up to create looks that work your new pieces into your existing wardrobe. We’ll take pictures of all your new found looks and use them to create a look book that you can reference anytime!
Each service has general offerings, however, each of them will be tailored to your individual needs, values, and desires.
Can you really dress my body shape?
Yes! There is no body that can’t be dressed well. All shapes have their challenges and all challenges have their solutions, at least in the world of fashion. So let’s work together to find you so many options that the biggest problem will be which ones to wear first!
Do you only style women?
Not at all! People of all genders need two essential things…a stylist AND a therapist. I genuinely enjoy styling all of my clients, regardless of gender. As a Costume Designer, I've spent significant time dressing men, women, and non-binary individuals alike. I find many men, like the rest of us, to be just as curious about their style. Caring about how you present yourself through your style doesn’t make you vain or self-absorbed. Those might be true about you, but it’s not because of your clothes (winky face). Style is a reflection of self-expression and confidence!
What if I live outside the metro atl area?
That’s okay! I’m happy to travel, even if it requires a roadtrip or a plane ticket. Of course, you’ll see some added gas and plane ticket costs added to your invoice. :) There is also an option for virtual styling sessions. Send me a message and let’s chat about what might work best for you, wherever you are.
